Our new release, Still Life II — Together, pays tribute to the joy of collaboration, of seeing the beauty that emerges when creative people come together.
We made it in response to the wave of requests we received after we partnered with our friends at Fabric to bring back some of our most classic Mahsa pieces in the Still Life capsule.
This time, for Still Life II — Together, we’ve collaborated with five of our longest-term stockists and released a larger capsule that includes our most essential shirts and fundamental base pieces that go with everything.
The ever-popular relaxed Everyday Shirt is back, as is the daily romantic ruffled Jane Blouse, the Jimmy — our feminine take on the gentleman’s shirt — and the ever-loved OG Bow Blouse.
We’ve also brought back our much-requested Fundamental Camisole, this time cut longer for layering. In easy-care, elegant black viscose twill, it features super-fine spaghetti straps and pairs perfectly with denim.
To go with these, we have our timeless Fundamental Pant and Puddle Skirt in delustred satin that falls with a graceful weight.
These are the pillars of a relaxed capsule wardrobe — unfussy, romantic and timeless, all in one. Paired with great denim and a beautiful coat or knit for winter, they have every occasion covered.
As we’re still in our ‘pause’ phase, we’ve turned to the Mahsa fabric archive for all textiles, including forever-favourites like white cotton lawn, Mahsa’s signature bold stripe and pinstripes, soft dark gingham, delicate cotton voiles and Liberty cotton, and the beautifully textured new Albini check: a Comme des Garçons deadstock that we’ve been saving for a special occasion.
Our campaign was shot in the new Good Form atelier, honouring our love of and inspiration by mid-century furniture forms. This time, we chose to shoot our models Aileen and Mia as a pair — because we’ve found everything’s better when you do it together.
The denim in the campaign all comes from our friends at Fabric, the accessories are a glimpse back into our archive, and the images were created by our talented team of collaborators: artist/photographer Kate van der Drift, stylist Chloe Hill and beauty by an era Creative (Anna Guo).
